Yoshihiro Togashi, born on April 27, 1966, is a manga artist from Yamagata Prefecture. His major works Yu Yu Hakusho and HUNTER × HUNTER supported the golden age of Weekly Shonen Jump, and he is praised as a genius for his intricate psychological battles and dynamic action.

He made his debut in 1986 with A Remarkable Birthday Present in the Jump Winter Special. In 1989, he began his first main magazine serialization with Tende Shōwaru Cupid. Starting in 1990, he serialized Yu Yu Hakusho, which became a major hit. In 1998, he launched HUNTER × HUNTER, which continues to this day on an irregular schedule. His work Level E, serialized monthly, gained attention as a unique science-fiction series.
